We take the current Alberta Fee Guide into consideration when determining the fees for dental treatments. We pride ourselves on providing individualized dental care, using quality products and materials during each appointment at our Calgary dental clinic. We understand every patient has a different financial situation and offer flexible payment options, to assist our patients.

Spy Hill Dental Clinic’s financial policy is created to provide excellent dental service.

  • Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Cash, Debit, Credit Card, or E-transfer.
  • For patients with dental benefits, we direct bill as a courtesy to most plans. Pre-determinations can be sent on your behalf and may be subject to a fee.  If your insurance or personal information changes, it is your responsibility to inform our office. We encourage you to read and be aware of your insurance benefits, maximums, exclusions and frequency limitations. Every plan is different, even within the same insurance company, and changes do occur frequently. Due to the Privacy Act, insurance companies do not release any information regarding policy holder’s coverage to dental providers.

We emphasize that as dental care providers, our relationship is with you, not your insurance company. While we file your claims as a courtesy, all charges are your responsibility from the date of service.

  • If you are covered by two insurance companies, you need to be aware of a duplication clause and verify whether or not your secondary insurance has standard coordination of benefits or not. This may limit your secondary insurance payment.
  • As a courtesy to our patients, we are happy to direct bill to your primary insurance. At your appointment, you are responsible for the remaining portion that your primary insurance does not cover. Concerning your secondary plan, we are no longer able to accept their payment due to the limitations of the new Privacy Act legislation. Yet on your behalf we will submit your claim to your secondary plan to pay you.
  • We provide 3-4 month payment plans with signed financial contract. Only Credit Cards are accepted for a payment plan option. Please note 1st payment is due on the day of service.
  • 48 hour notice is required for any cancellation or rescheduled appointment. For missed and appointments cancelled with short notice, we reserve the right to charge a fee of $50.00 per each hour booked.
  • If a collection agency becomes involved in the settlement of your account, all the collection costs and legal fees for both parties are the responsibility of the account holder.
